After all that poncey new romantic cobblers, and the music press had declared that punk was dead. Oi! confirmed that the spirit of punk as it had been in 1976 &1977 was still very vigorous.

Exploited, who were from Scotland, had two tracks on "Oi! the Album". So although Oi! began in London, and was a very London working class style, it was not confined to London.
